Fire Alarm Service and Maintenance Engineer

Location: Hampshire

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Fire Alarm Service and Maintenance Engineer to join our progressive Company supporting customers to whom we supply a wide range of specialist services.

The ideal candidate will have experience in carrying out preventative maintenance, inspection, fault finding, logging results and some remedial works within our clients premises such as Commercial Offices, Schools, Colleges and Care homes.

The role will be paying a basic salary of between £26,000 and £30,000 dependant upon experience, this  role will also have a high level of client facing responsibilities and will require the successful candidate to build on good relationships with our existing and new clients.

About the role:

The role is predominantly Fire – Conventional and Addressable systems, however regular work with CCTV, Access and Intruder may also be required from time to time.

The role will incorporate fault finding, test and repair of malfunctioning systems in line with NSI and BS5839 guidelines. In return the company are offering an excellent basic salary as well on-going training to aid your career development. 

About you:

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading team in which you will be responsible for the delivery of services and act as a key interface between our clients. You will need to have the following:-

Applicants for this position should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, an excellent understanding of IT and competence in the use of computer software is also essential.

The ideal candidate will hold a City and Guilds or equivalent qualification in the installation of electrical and electronic equipment and proven experience within the fire and security industry.

Experience and knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems

  • Experience in fault diagnosis and rectification (on site and over the phone).
  • Excellent telephone / client facing communication skills.
  • Be willing to work flexibly as required, hard-working and self-motivated.
  • The ability to work independently and have strong customer service skills to continually develop the client relationship.
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
  • Previous experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of Security Systems would be an advantage
